The 'observation through the medium of photography of the abandoned buildings, can help us understand the social and economic changes that have crossed the country in which these "relics of the modern era" are located.
In particular factories and all those small industries, now lying helpless and no longer have their original purpose, are a reflection of changing economic and social policies which have gradually pushed the production to other places, sometimes engulfed by large multinationals.
The same can be observed by studying the reality of living "colonie marine", who had a substantial boost durations the Fascist period, to have their peak in the 60 'and 70'.
