schichtwerk is a documentation of an closed train factory called (ausbesserungswerk) in germany. first of all i took fotos of the graffiti i did there. then i digitaliesed it and made a serigraphie on canvas. incorporated some personal things as well like myself, some thoughts an kruzifix etc. before i took iron and copperpaint and oxidatet it on canvas. to get the impression/feeling of rust and the transience of that old industrial factory.for me it is the witness of the the downfall from the industrial century in germany and of our western world!
but coexistent and beginning of an new era.
