surrealistic pop-art with a cynical view on world politics created in high energy frames for pop music channels. could the apocalypse be near? tried and tested technologies with deadly
composing and a pint of morphing for good measure.
Your work is very good! This Peel work is not s a big work like yours. But it was more interesting for the specialists... Your work is not art... it is something commercial... hehe I am sorry about the money... about the capital.
The voting in Berlin went according to the terms and conditions and are confirmed as published in the latest news onsite.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. I wanted to thankyou for proposing your work which has been admired by many people who came to the exhibition in Berlin. Kind regards, Steven Music.
Dear Aliaksei, the voting at the final in Berlin between the finalists and the online vote are two separate activities. The first, in Berlin is for the 40,000 euro prize money, the second activity the online vote is purely an open access vote for anyone visiting the website with no prize money!
This has been clearly explained in the pages relating to the terms and conditions of the prize and in the pages 'online vote 2009' (you find both in 'about prize' on the homepage).
I am Alexey Tserakhau, the finalist of the Celeste Prize 2009 with the work `Capital` . I was flabbergasted by the results of the final voting that turned out to be very unpredictable.
In all categories the works that have been taking leading positions during the voting didn't win in the end.
For example, in my category "video and animation" there were two leading works- "Capital" and "LoopLoop". In the on-line voting the first three places were taken by my work "Capital" (www.celesteprize.com/artwork/ido:18405) , "LoopLoop" by Patric Bergeron (www.celesteprize.com/artwork/ido:17921), and third -"The Kiss" by Giueseppe Ragazzini (http://www.celesteprize.com/artwork/ido:26707).
Top favourites: "Capital" - 75", "LoopLoop" - 63, and "Peel" (winner) -28.
Most viewed : "LoopLoop" - 1411, "Capital" - 1251. "Peel" - 640 after the final results.
But, surprisingly, the prize was awarded to the work "Peel" by Surabhi Saraf (www.celesteprize.com/artwork/ido:27351) that have never led in any of the positions such as "favourites", "most viewed", "most talked about" and "league table vote". I am not inferring that this work is not interesting but in consistency with the logic of any competition the first place should have gone to a work that has been in top positions.
What a pitti you didn't win las 2009.
Thank you for your friendship request!
best wishes
Marcela
Anyway, I really like your work..
