The right for freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and said: everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference" and "everyone shall have the right to a freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice. Is this truly happening in this world?
Despite this definition, freedom of speech appears to be more of a gift than a right or normality. Freedom of speech is not prevalent, as minute by minute people all over the world are fighting, some to express their opinions against forces of control, others fighting to remain silent. Every passing moment, people are fighting for a voice against violence and for equality, and daily they possess the fear that unjustly accompanies their plight for justice and truth. This painting represents the fight against censorship, the fight for free expression of one's opinion and the fights for the truth whatever it may be. Stop the Silence!
