HEJ! HEY! XEJ! by Linda Duvall & Nikola Velicki

Artists Nikola Vilecki from Serbia and Linda Duvall from Canada were both struck by the presence of amazing gardens in Lendava. The artists see the gardens as a sign about the people who work them. They have undertaken to investigate these gardens, asking about the history of special plants and looking for gardening stories. Their responses to these gardens will form the final exhibition.

One part of the project involves an intervention into the community by posting ‘Like’ signs in places that the artists particularly appreciate, like lovely flower beds, interesting trimmed bushes, or amazing tomato plants.

In addition, we are also asking Lendava and area residents to post these ‘Like’ signs in locations that are particularly important to them. We would appreciate if they could take a photo of the location where they have put their sign, and post this to the Hej!Hey!Xej! Facebook page.

The ‘Like’ signs are available from the D’CLINIC studio space or from the artists.
