Workshops , United Kingdom, 7 August 2012 - 6 November 2012
Four practical workshops exploring contemporary drawing practice. Contact art@joannakori.com for details.

Location: The Studio, Jerwood Gallery, Hastings
Dates: August 7th, September 4th, October 9th and November 6th 2012
Time: 16.30 – 19.30
Cost: £10 per workshop or £36 for all four - includes paper and drawing equipment
Age restriction: 16+

Each workshop begins with a short introduction which will include drawings by contemporary artists working in each area and a piece from the Jerwood Foundation Collection.

Environment 7th August 2012:
Respond to your immediate environment and/or select from a range of visual triggers.

Figure 4th September 2012:
Using a life model, explore ways of representing the moving figure.

Object 9th October 2012:
Observe the world of objects, both familiar and unfamiliar.

Portrait 6th November 2012:
We were created to look at one another, weren’t we? (Edgar Degas)

Note: A selection of drawing equipment and paper will be provided. If you would like to use an easel feel free to bring this along. There is also a small supper available (bowl of vegetarian soup with a roll and drink) for £6 by the Jerwood Cafe during the break (17.45 – 18.15).
