The International School of Comics a Digital and Figurative Arts Academy, is an artistic and cultural centre for all the individuals who decide to obtain a professional specialization in the field of visual arts. With its 30 years of experience in education, the school has maintained the right balance between tradition and innovation, joining traditional courses as Animation,Comics,Illustration and Comics Screenplay Writing with new courses such as 3D Modelling and Animation with Maya,Web Design and Basic Drawing. With its eight schools located all throughout Italy,it nationally ranks as one of the most important educational institution.The teachers are professionally well-known locally and internationally and the School is based on the traditional concept of “bottega d’arte” (artist’s workshop) where the artist would teach his/her pupils, the techniques and secrets of his work. The school stands out for its advanced courses and its Study Abroad Program, which includes two scholarships for a visit in a foreign country: the Japan Scholarship with a stay at the Gakuin Animator College of Tokyo - Japan and thand the Cuba Scholarship with a visit to the Center of Experimental Animation

L’incontro sarà incentrato sul percorso che, partendo dalla prima idea di una storia, passa attraverso studi grafi ci, abbozzi di sceneggiatura, ricerche di documentazione, testi definitivi e storyboard per arrivare alla realizzazione finale delle pagine. Il lungo, duro e affascinante cammino che è necessario compiere quando si vuole dare forma di fumetto alle proprie fantasie.
Vittorio Giardino è il maestro riconosciuto del romanzo per immagini, unico nel coniugare cinema, fumetto e letteratura. Esordisce su Il Mago nel 1979 con la prima storia del detective Sam Pezzo. Non è che il primo di un gruppo di personaggi che saranno protagonisti di storie su riviste, quotidiani e in volumi tradotti in 14 lingue e editi in 20 paesi. Sono nati infatti dalla sua matita la sensuale Little Ego e il giovane Jonas Fink, eroe di una vicenda in tre volumi nelle strade della Praga anni Cinquanta, ma
anche la spia Max Fridman, su cui è tornato al lavoro di recente per la trilogia di No Pasaran.
