Festivals, Slovenia, 26 July 2011 - 5 September 2011
In cooperation with Light Art Biennial from Austria, Ptuj hosted light objects by artists such as Manfred Kielnhofer, Christoph Luckeneder, Mounty R. P. Zentara and Alexandre Marucci. We have also invited Korean artist Jeongmoon Choi to exhibit her light drawings. Installations by Art Stays' artists (Duan Fier) joined and complement the visiting works of art. The Light Art Project is a conceptual upgrade of Art Stays projects from 2005, when the festival carried the name Light Please. The aim is to awaken life in the sleepy oldest Slovenian town. Each night, Ptuj shined under the glow of the light installations and took a peek into a brighter future.
