Homage to Giorgio Morandi
"Everything that was written about me, I have not, as if a wind had blown away ...."
Giorgio Morandi door in his whole being that statement, because he is the most amazing artist of the contemporary art scene in the mid-twentieth century. During this period, characterized by a tendency to go beyond the form, Morandi, with its bottles, flowers and landscapes of the Tuscan-Emilian, seems to belong to another era, rather, out of time, with its ancient images but indelible. The radical over temporality, the phase shift with respect to time is the force most proper Bolognese artist. Not surprisingly, the city in which he is born is the perfect stage as always multifaceted and "out of phase" between the many cultures that comprise it.
It 's the same city that today, right in his heart, gives tribute to his artist more extemporaneous and undoubtedly unique. The Gallery Wikiarte in the center of Bologna, brings together thirteen artists, thirteen different styles to remember and tell Morandi. But the style has never been decisive for him. The first attempt to link his expressive language to Futurism, only provoked irritation. The compositional relationship with Cezanne and the surreal with De Chirico are only consequential. The style, membership of a specific current was not interested in the great Bolognese. E 'therefore this is the reason that makes it possible to Homage to Giorgio Morandi in Wikiarte Gallery.
The thirteen artists tell the importance of the lesson in manners Morandi stylistically different, but common in vision.
The living nature, which Morandi seen in flowers and landscapes, is the one that also lives in the work of Paul Beretti transparent, in neo-disheveled Massimo Renzi, frescoes purist Gianpaolo Marchesi and puzzle floral Francesco Caruso, as in the essential nature , almost graphic photographs of Karim Carella and the stylized cubist Roberto Tomb.
The still life by Morandi lived in the pure simplicity of the object, is reborn with the same sensitivity in the vessels of Paul Remondini, in sharp graphic strokes of Paul Berti, but also in strong contrast nightlife Lina Moretti Nesticò and sweet shapes "juicy" and pasty nature of the death of Stephen Manzotti remember that both the hand of a young Cezanne.
Man, imperceptible in vision Morandi, returns nearly objectified, as demonstrated by the work of Alberto Bertolotti, where the individual exists only in the mass of many in their only driving force. Ivana Scalco as Roberto Tomb geometrizes the face, while Enrica Toffoli and Ruth Vera Withall exaggerate it with materiality expressionist, unnatural, beyond human.
The memory of the past, forms of "ancient" art of their Morandi, also echoed strongly in the work of twelve. From personal quotations Toffoli trials chromatic Remondini, are all historical art classes, doomed to never become the past. This is also the great relevance of Morandi himself and his experience the world through art.
