After Riomaggiore and Milan, La Spezia photographer Hans Burger choose his city of origin to continue artistic research focuses on the true essence of people, carried out with the project Look - portraits in search of souls: a journey in which the protagonist the common people, without distinction of aesthetics, gender and age to enter into a special gallery.
"Look at me - says Burger - and 'testing of a photographic portrait that wants to get people to show themselves for what they are and to be exposed to the public at the same time: a rematch of naturalness and spontaneity in spite of shyness that each one of us have when is immortalized and exhibited ".
The name of the initiative wasn't chosen at random: "I take the double meaning of the word - look -, at the same time invite of the photographer to his subject just before shooting and the cry of the soul itself, which claim to be considered in all its essence. "
The desire to be able to rediscover aspects such as authenticity and spontaneity of individuals, are covered with a new and profound meaning, in a society that recently, in which the sophistication of the person, from cosmetic surgery to the use in the two dimensions of photo editing programs is the rule despite the detriment of the uniqueness of each one of us: "There is' no artifice or retouching: Look at me is the true people party."
And so, after the Bar & Wine A Piè de Ma in Riomaggiore and Feel Good Lounge Bar in Milan, this project moves to the Loggia de Banchi of via Mazzolani 32 in La Spezia, where from the Halloween party will be made daily sessions. Behind a payment of 10 , which is required to contribute to the costs of construction, the next protagonists of the project will be in exchange for a drink and print the shooting process that portrays (100x70 cm), which will be presented at the time of replacement in the walls. The experiment will last a month, with possible extension in the event of further requests, the photographs will be replaced with the new twist on a weekly basis. An opportunity to show not so much our own appearance, but the soul in a cycle in flux until the end of the experimentetion."
