Photography, Mixed technique, Aluminium, 150 x 50 x 2 cm, 2009
The work “Human condition” reflects the vision of reality I came to after years of searching within the Zen philosophy. The “veered” colors express our way of seeing and interpreting the world, our vision is a little blurred, hallucinated.
We are slaves to ourselves and to technique which we try to dominate everything with, in the attempt of exorcising what we can’t explain. But the demand of meaning within us stays open…
The Oriental thinking gives interesting points of view, new possibilities of listening, reflection and vision. The photo is printed on metallic paper, so that the sky gets the golden colouring, typical of the ancient Oriental printings, and call to abstraction, in comparison to the concept of what reality is.
