Silent Reef - Chelsea Briggs

Silent Reef

Sculpture, Textile, Other, 85 x 110 x 80 cm, 2010
Coral reefs and their inhabitants are in grave danger due to global warming and ocean pollution. All sea life has become a prisoner in its own home. As human beings we are responsible for cleaning up and supporting the life in our oceans. If we do not change our habits, the beautiful reefs will cease to exist shortly. This piece represents the relationship between humans, ocean life and beauty that desperately needs to be appreciated. We are all here, sharing this planet.
