This body work was originally inspired by ‘Our English Coast’ a painting by Holman Hunt. I was intrigued by the subversiveness of the image, being essentially a pastoral, rural scene, but was critique of the ruling class of the time
With the premise of “Our English Coast’ in mind, this body of work has developed using the language of ‘Landscape’ as a vehicle for visual reference, in a contemporary context.
