Francesco Lorenzetti was born in Siena , in Tuscany (Italy) , on 09/10/1976 where he lives and works. He began drawing in 2005, discovering his passion for portraiture. Francesco draws his portraits using mechanical pencil, graphite and charcoal and using the circulism technique and graphite dust too. For the colouring process he uses chalk, acrylics, pastels, watercolour pencils but also the modern techniques offered by technology.
About his art he says: « What I intend when I create a portrait it is not to only capture the similarity, but “to capture” the soul that reigns in the look and to share through it the states of mind that have inspired me. I love the effect on the skin that a lifetime of incessant wind has caused, making the life emerge in the stillness and in the movement. »
