Based from a multiplicity of minute elements these sculptures are an evolving arrangement of parts. There is a constant reworking in to the subtleties of each material used; erring closer toward an inherent fragility and minimality.

To give setting to these multiplicities the work is installed with a balance of select material elements. These formations are re-configured within each space and each held in situ with a fleeting sense of permanence. Arranged under a paused tension of opposing forces, there is within each piece the implicated potential to produce an element of disruption/downfall.

Conceptually tied around a collection of politico-philosophical ideas- from Badiou, Zizek, Mouffe et al- the driving narrative of this work is a universal strife for a re-politicized arena of thought: A want for an ‘antagonistic’ self-revolutionising theatre of politics. This work is a rendition of such a reflexively utopian paradox in its unreachable state of stability.
