running to catch the 664 train engine
i’m watching a loaded diesel train engine approaching in the night. first I hear a sound, then I see a light approaching, and finally the train whooshes past me. I imagine the power of the machine, which is operated by a person I am guiding. there is a moment of tension between the mind and the body, between man and machine, between two eyes experiencing this event.
the object is a bidirectional linear composition of two geometrical bodies – eyes staring at each other. everything is inserted into a mind tunnel, which cannot be physically moved beyond my eye point or the point of the rushing train.
