Stacked Teacups

Stacked Teacups

Painting, Still life, Oil, 60.9x91.4x1.27cm
A study in values, shadows and shapes, the painting focuses on what we really see. In this case the real teacups and the gradation of shadows created by light. The shadows place the emphasis on shape. This painting won third place at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts in Lubbock, Texas and was selected by Lillian Tone Juror (MoMA) at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition show White on White in Brooklyn New York.
