The artists have used the language most congenial to them to investigate the many historical, social, psychological, emotional and perceptual related to women: birth, puberty, pregnancy, menopause, violence, femicide.
Their works are pages of an intimate diary that talks about personal experiences or urges the memory by re-emerge from oblivion of the past characters who find their relocation in the present. anonymous stories, known stories, of ordinary everyday life stories, told in the first person with honesty and consistency, with no emotional flaws, sometimes resorting to metaphor, the irony power, the size of the poem.
Blood is certainly a recurring subject of contemporary art, alongside other bodily fluids such as tears, sweat, urine, saliva, semen. But if the male blood is the courage, the female implies shame, especially when menstrual blood. Basis of this insight contemporary artists recover instances feminists giving a strong dissenting value to their jobs, because the female body is the first place of social and political struggle for the affirmation of rights.
