Commute II, Monoprint Series

Using the language of maps by drawing pinstripes of suit fabrics, I show lines reminiscent of topographies, and the folds reveal the structure of Tokyo’s train system. This work, in series as shown, depicts the ritualistic nature of a daily commute in and out of the city center.
