Self-portrait with Post-object Object

Self-portrait with Post-object Object

I am fascinated by the awkward aesthetics of everyday phenomena and by the structures that surround us, such as language and public space.
My work often exists on the cusp of materiality and conceptualism; the things I make can take on a myriad of forms, from writing to installation and ceramics. When making objects I don't see them as endpoints, rather they are actors in a bigger narrative. A close observation of that which surrounds me is another important aspect in my work.
Self-portrait with post-object Object came out of this need. As an artist I'm learning how to look at the (everyday) world in different ways: seeing the 'glitches' and making fresh associations.
