Die Erde ist (m)eine Scheibe [Engl.: The Earth is my flat disc.]

In my series called KLANG.Bilder (SOUND.Pictures) I transform well-known products and/or material to art.
Here I use old vinyl's from two former GDR-Labels (AMIGA & ETERNA). I turn them from a former piece of acustical art in an now visual piece of art. The former very thin and fragile structure is transformed and visualised into rough surfaces.
I don't use acryl colout but only very fine metall-powders (e.g. copper, iron) which are dispersed in an acrylic medium for binding.
The colurful variety will be achived by applying different patina's, which I partly compose by my one (due to a chemical backround arising from my "former" business live :-)).
The work here includes also paper (parts from old m,aps), so again it's my way to re-use any kind of material which a worthless for other people.
