Perturbazione

Painting, Sacred / Mythological, Landscape, Acrylic, 70x100x6cm
The work represents a lake landscape, where appears a strange phenomenon in the sky: a perturbation of three dimensional space modify the surface of the painting.
How a 4d object would look like in our space? If the perspective allows us to represent the three dimensions on the plane, how can we represent a fourth dimension?
For hundreds of years perspective and plane geometry were the tools to explore reality, until math discovered other possible geometries, and other possible dimensions. Meanwhile, after the avant-gardes of the twentieth century, painting has left the mimetic representation of reality.
Art does not just represent the visible, but tries to show what is invisible to our eyes.
