Child abuse on the rise - report launched by Terre des Hommes (TDH)
From 4319 child victims of 2010 we moved to 4946 in 2011 (almost 15% more), 61% of which are female.
To increase exponentially are also crimes of corruption of minors, the number of victims (446) grew by 238% over the previous year.
In 80% of cases at the expense of children and adolescents and absolutely the biggest increase recorded in the possession of pornographic material: + 363%, to the detriment of 74 children, 57% of them girls. The situation is if possible even more critical when it comes to sexual violence: they are 83% of the total, equal to 822 victims in 2011, the children affected, plus the 434 victims of aggravated sexual assault, 82% females.
