Trasmutazioni
Due to a "mistake" that happens by chance, the matter of a photograph changes. The pigments of the silver gelatin move freerly and penetrete inside the picture playing with the original subject and commenting on it.
If, at source, were reproductions of photographs from the past, now the film, in the process of being damaged, gives life to new stories and new thoughts, different but often accidentally converging with the original meaning.
The signs of transmutation seem to gather around the key points of the image intensifying and enriching the meanings.
The chemical uncertainty of photography becomes the instrument that, guided by chance brings the original image to a new life and an unexpected connotation. The images come back to us from their previous life, transmuted into something new and mysterious.
