The photographer of Normandy Coast
After putting aside for several years in my photo lab a series of thirty black and white negatives
(13x18cm) made years ago on Normandy Coast, I discovered one day that the emulsion had seriously deteriorated.
In 1996, having in mind the glass negatives made by Corot and the nudes photographed and engraved by Brassaï, I underlined each damaged element on my photos and added a text engraved in gelatine at the back.
Thus the works and the story of The photographer of Normandy Coast were suddenly revealed
and a relevant photographic account took shape by creating images on the disappearance of the photographs and about the fires which melt the emulsion (entitled « feutographies »).
