Moodboard

The moodboards are the boards used by stylists and designers to conceive the creation of an object or a collection. These boards are a great source of inspiration since they aim for a translation of the abstract, a transposition of a feeling, an emotion or a mood in the matter of a word, of an image or an item. The purpose of this work is exactly that: transpose a feeling, a mood inside of an artwork through a process that is not only a linguistic translation but a manifest, physical, meditative experience. Hence the idea of working with condoms and candles. The candle has the pragmatism and the immanence of being content but is also potentially ephemeral and transcendent. As well as a condom the candle is an object designed for a specific function and cease its function after being used. Therefore the synergy between the condom and the hooded candle create the perfect simulacrum.

Moorboard is by its very nature an artwork open to multiple expressions: is both sculpture and installation, framed and performative.
