The Basilio Cascella Prize, one of the most prestigious art, photography, and painting awards in Italy since 1955, returns. Its aim is to promote contemporary art and create a creative hub and reference point for its subsequent export to the international art world. The theme of the 68th 2024 edition is "Imperfect Future," a tribute to P. Daverio and his personal distinction between those who are sold as artists and those who are artists by nature.

Quality, research, innovation, and contemporaneity were the key criteria for the selection process. Eight painters and eight photographers were selected to exhibit at the Spazio ATLANTIDE in Ortona (CH).
This year, the event will again be part of the 21st Contemporary Art Day promoted by AMACI, which coincides with the inauguration date of Saturday, October 4th, confirming a combination that has characterized the Prize in all recent editions. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 15th.

Each participant was asked to analyze this edition's theme and express it through painting or photography, bringing their own personal interpretation to the attention of the public.
