Under the skin
Exhibitions, Italy, Torino, 23 May 2013
In a changing world where artistic research and participant-stock moves in sync with respect to the plane of expression (see "Tell me who are not" with the names to elide into a sort of genesis and recognition of their illusory existential loneliness), with this installation the artist, Cristian Ciamporcero, pushes even more his foot on the interaction artist / visitor and visitor / visitor, forcing him inextricably to confront, such as in front of a mirror of pixels, with the longed / refused technology of its time and its implications in our common life.
One installation this step with the times, minimal and encompassing, cold and compartecipativa, encouragement and warning, and as such are able to offer visitors the experience both conceptual and human that allows you to highlight / revitalize the duality of our present day (as well as any of this at any time). Alongside and superimposed digital era of graphic design and photography, we are living in the digital communication socializing and alienating at the same time. Like a stone is just a stone but it can be a weapon depending on how you choose to use it, so the wireless communication and fiber puts us in front of the duality alone / in the midst of others. But if for own use / misuse of the stone we are free, we choose the illusory comfort that the bit streams offer us instead, they influence the choice and force us to keep pace with the times.
The weather there can not stop, the world is in the making, the world is becoming. And art, its task, it can not elude or be called "out of this." It can not be called "out of this."
In this combination gently grasp and actualize it in an innovative exhibition performance, we then scale deep understanding of the value of artistic expression search of this artist from Turin.
The installation is the presentation of three digital processing, as known and continued path of the artist, tied together by the theme of the concept of "Deposition", an idea through which large and versatile, you can "play" with a series of prompts and pairings based on situations / emotions experienced by different subjects, revised by Ciamporcero, through a sort of tracing and replacing the faces of the actors and extras involved, as in a clever fusion between a play and a photo album.
