On 23rd October Marconi Gallery and Design? Associated Study present Rocco Dubbini sole exposition, titoled I marinai valgono più delle navi, le opere d'arte valgono più degli artisti. The exhibition will open at 6 at the rooms of the architecture study, 36 D'Annunzio street in San Benedetto del Tronto. The event is cured by Dario Ciferri.
Rocco Dubbini sole exposition is the first appointment of Traditeci pure...ma non lasciateci soli (Be unfaithful well ...but don't leave us alone), it's the series of expositions organized by Marconi Gallery for 2011/2012 season.
Thanks to the cooperation with Design? Marconi Gallery arrives to San Benedetto del Tronto and puts on a new space, dedicated to contemporary art which joins the historical one of Cupra Marittima. " Be unfaithful well... but don't leave us alone!" is the title of the project born from the fortunate meeting. The idea is to spread on the regional area the passion for art and design, two worlds often getting close and enjoying to mix. Marconi Gallery so goes on with its art promotion outside its traditional space, tryingother spaces besides its usual ones.Design? Associated Study aims to go over the limits of an architectural study in order to become culture promoter and offering so new perspectives to the ones attending its spaces, which will be opened at the exhibition.
Sharing the same criticism for research about visual arts, architecture and design, the cooperation starts a new course of studying and experimentation analyzing and reworking our reality.
" The sea devides, the sea unites. It's a bridge for civilizations, a source of life, support and wealth, it's the possibility of travellling, dreaming, hoping a better life, neverthless it's often the scenery of tragedies, sorrow and death. The ones living over the sea, the ones living on the sea know all this well. Job, life, fatigue, hope perhaps are interwoven in an indissoluble way. Rocco Dubbini starts from one of the most tragic event of local history, in order to connect to the present Mediterranean tragedies. It's an installation that aims to put back at the center of consciousness, life and economy the importance of human life as an essential value for any choice. Working is important but the human dignity must come first. Sailors are worth more than ships – human lives are worth more than well-being" (Dario Ciferri).
Be unfaithful well there are many things to see, art is a river receiving, recollecting, sedimenting and spreading.See the expositions, search for art, visit galleries, museums, contaminated sites, without any preconceptions but without any superficiality too. What's important is not being mistaken, loyalty and disloyalty often go together. Go...but don't leave us alone.
