NATURE INSIDE
Personal Exhibition of Giovanni Marinelli
This presentation is written by the art critic Alberto Gross will describe the development of an art project focused on the knowledge and dissemination of 'contemporary art. Art and light become a universal language accessible and appealing to the public.
The goals are to convey emotions through a strong visual impact as the search for an artist like John Marinelli evolving, that will give life to works areas to visit. A new artistic vision where art curious, fun, awareness, and at the same time that it involves the viewer becomes the protagonist.
The works will be on display from March 31 to April 12, 2012, will be included in a contemporary context, as the young and attentive Wikiarte gallery, location of 300 square meters located in one of the most popular contexts, the center of Bologna, Via San Felice 18 a short walk from the famous Neptune.
In the breath of nature is the breath of broken things, a syntagmatic tended to proceed to a further reformulation of the size and spatial perception.
The photograph becomes a case of realization of the natural element, seen from different angles and shown to be different tracks of a single cosmic whole.
The writing visionary of John Marinelli is nothing more than an expansion of duration, the amplification of a wait operated within a real practice aesthetics. And it is the practice - understood as a genuine theory of point of view - to inform and guide the construction of the image.
The usual harmless and visual harmony is shattered, fragmented and reconstructed in favor of a movement that is - at a time - analysis and synthesis of the full process of a structural nature. If Impressionist painting was concerned to depict the air and light through the abolition of boundaries, so Marinelli catch your breath in the stillness of the things of time, mentioned in the suggestion of a movement and elusive.
The center of gravity is canceled and with it the statics: what is left is the living and life-giving power of different sensing elements: through reflections, and references of separate images together again, the artist achieves their own personal cinematic dimension.
Dosing significantly slow and rapid eye gaze lingers on elements that invite the observer to emotional involvement: the photograph is not something other, separate, but invades our personal sphere, changing dynamics and visual perception.
As in the labyrinth of a kaleidoscope, the reverberating images of himself much of its image: the nature undergoes a metamorphosis which is based on an extraordinarily intimate and spiritual dimension.
The use of film and black and white are the basis of a formal rigor that no concessions to lure ephemeral image, preferring this to the patient construction of "continuing" that lives in the photographs of Marinelli, is the slow change of space, the surface that comes out and reified, becomes the object looming and viable.
The possible variations and visual conditions are identified and grouped in their own space of freedom, the dynamics and the peculiar formal directions. The deafening silence that pervades the works is the echo of a vibrating direction that is afraid to be too fast: the whole work of Marinelli is a drawing of a breath protected, the construction of a dialectical dimension significantly leading natural and what that element nourishes and change.
If "among many ways to fight no one of the best is to take pictures" - as he wrote Cortazar - Marinelli nothing beats running the fixity of the time. And the wind never stops blowing.
