What is the music if you do not mind, idea, research that is expressed through speed, synthesis, control, instinct, and form? Because emotion is a flow - and therefore natural movement and gesture - and Marco di Mauro composes and transmits the thought without filters, directly on the canvas, how about a pentagram. The result are works harmonics, almost musical, where the thought becomes gesture and movement and is imprinted, at the very moment, as energy is experienced by the artist. So he paints from Mauro, only with the help of his pencils, pens and even with your hands, it is simple syringes used instead of a brush, so that the fluid can drain color, as did the creative thinking.
The artist, coherent and essential in its create, always starts with minimal elements basic to dig and then progressively refine them in the evolution of the work. In the beginning only appear signs, in a play of opposites between black and white, empty and full, through which Mauro operates an unveiling of introspective emotions, tensions, dramas and feelings that give rise to "portraits": figures from his unconscious memory , between dream and nightmare, in which the artist portrays humanity deformed, engaged in an emotional tension that emphasizes individual attention psychological investigation. A universe that is at the boundary between the poetic and the bewildered at the same time. At this stage of the development of the artist's creation is still at the stage where flow leaves the hand movement in search of a sensitive memory, a thought beyond and above the reasoning, which slowly bring out a human landscape with faces and bodies from the delicate trait, tying the simplicity of the gesture inspired the electrical vibration of the protagonists and their evocative potential. In this way, the figures of the artist they call themselves, take shape, comes the color and personality, without ever abandoning their origin dreams, that dimension of silence which they belong and the picture becomes a liquid narrative of this memory.
There is something in the paintings of orchestral Marco di Mauro, in those figures that often appear as isolated even in compositions in which every line has its own meaning, a link connected with others, the human landscape artist lives of manual art fluids I hardly ever rise from the canvas in a continuity between thought and emotion action, the gesture of Marco di Mauro as he creates has pace, pause and speed.
The gesture of Mauro is what captures and captivates the audience, but what really creates harmony in his work is the secret relationship between solids and voids, between light and dark, between white and black plane of the section, between black and color, inside and out, all in constant dialogue with each other choral. Like its continuous sign, so the works of Marco di Mauro is a constant journey between his dreams and contemporary reality. So his art can be equally defined as a journey into the artistic experiences of the twentieth century: there you will find the street-art and graffiti, and Wols Jean Dubuffet, Jackson Pollock and Maria Lai to Kandinsky. Yet it is not possible to confuse Marco di Mauro with anyone else: his art is pure freedom, between gesture and color.
