“Beyond time and space” by Maristella Angeli

"As time is a succession of light and darkness (night ↔ day / winter ↔ summer), so space is a continuous cycle of passage between the mortal world and the eternal world. The cycles of days, months, years, they are only the temporal aspect of that continuous ontological flow that transfigures the two states of reality - dark and light, power and act, life and death, the natural and the supernatural, the physical and the metaphysical - one in the other, in an eternal alternation from which the very essence of the world we live in derives. "
It tells how the work is animated by the impulse to go beyond temporal boundaries, past and present meet, just as those who lived in the past meet with the living.
The profound matrix that animates the works of the artist Angeli is the oneiric one which, however, goes beyond the metaphysical boundary, meeting the real.
A profound reflection on the soul that echoes in the chromatic shades where the pictorial trait condenses into a material fluidity that is sealed in the intrinsic thought of the artist, tangible reality meets surreality.
