Public and private institutions, have a cultural and exhibition of artistic exchange between
Turin and Chicago, which saw the first event in the U.S. metropolis for the past month of November
and December 2011 and that from 5 July to 2 September 2012 will be hosted at the Regional Museum
Natural Sciences of Turin, in the beautiful setting of The Baroque museum. The exhibition will also enjoy the
sponsored by the Zhou Brothers Foundation, which operates in close synergy with the 33Contemporarye Gallery
of Chicago.
EXHIBITION, THE IDEA OF THE SHOW:
CONTEMPORARY ART AND THE ENVIRONMENT AS A MIRROR OF SOCIETY '
"NETWORK: FROM TURIN TO CHICAGO AND VICE-VERSA" CONTEMPORARY ART AS A MIRROR
ENVIRONMENT AND COMPANY '"is an exhibition conceived and curated by the international magazine" Art Italy "
Gallery by the Cultural and Fulk. This is a project that aims to strengthen ties and stimulate
comparison between young and old artists of the Italian academies and cultural institutions of the U.S., especially in Chicago, creating an important opportunity for dialogue between the various contemporary trends. Will
involved about 30 Italian artists of fame and many Americans, in a double exposure (one in Chicago and one in
Turin), which will become itinerant showcases of contemporary creativity Made in Italy and the United States.
The theme of Change, of experimentation, the change in art today than ever before will be
accompanied by a selection, even symbolic, artists and themes.
The monthly magazine "Art Italy. The best culture and Made in Italy "is to promote an exchange
art and culture with 33Contemporary Gallery, a leading art gallery in Chicago, led by Sergio Gomez
not only to celebrate the sesquicentennial anniversary of Italian unity which sees Turin, capital of the former
Kingdom of Italy, protagonist of the celebrations, but, conceptually, the strong bond that has always
binds and unites our country and our countrymen to the United States of America, a journey that for over 150
year sees a deep link between the Italian people and American art, history, tradition, custom, culture. The
choice of Turin as the seat of the Italian project and exhibition in Chicago, as the U.S. office of the exhibition
Italian authors, is also dictated by the role of the two cities in the contemporary art world.
The collaboration is part of a larger plan reports that "Italy Art" has with the Italian Institutes
Culture in the world, museums and foundations in the United States and Italy, with many contemporary Italian artists
and the Associations of Italians in the world.
