The year that has just begun is definitely an important year for Emergency. In fact, the association founded by Gino Strada and Teresa Sarti is 20 years old . It was 15 May 1994 when the Surgeon Milan and his wife , who died September 1st 2009, along with a group of friends gave birth to this association that takes care of the victims of war and poverty in the world. And in these years are over 6 million patients who oversaw Emergency free.
To celebrate this important anniversary, a series of events are taking place all over the country throughout 2014.
And to host one of the first events will be just the city of Siena. In fact, February 23 at St. Andrew's in the Circolo Arci Location Sant'Andrea in Montecchio Group Emergency Siena together with the Cultural Association has organized an Auction Serpent Ruler of Art to celebrate this twentieth anniversary .
This is thanks in no less than 32 Sienese artists who have made available some of their works . Fabio Baskets , Paola Torrini , Daniel Borri , Rita Petti , Daniel Sasson , Alessandro Innocenti , Roberto Bocci , Renzo Regoli, Barbara Muller, Piergiacomo Petrioli , Paolo Benvenuti , Samuel Calosi , Stephen Pilcher , Francesco Baiocchi , Daniela Pedretti , Philip Galgani , Alessandro Grazi Paul Pedretti , Christian Brogi , Anna Benedict , Veronica Finucci , Hanako Kumazawa , Utsavo Maria Grazia Costantini , Massimo Sticks , Lorella Capezzuoli Vanilla Bardelli , Cesare Baglioni, Cristina Chiappinelli , Martha Venturi, Angela Bindi , Nicholas Kirschenbaum , Simple Carlo . These are the names of the 32 artists who generously made available their works for this auction whose proceeds will support the Project Coordination Group Emergency of Tuscany, in which the Group Senese is of course part and supporting the activities of the Surgical Center and Pediatric Emergency Goderich in Sierra Leone.
But the day with Emergency Regulus and the Serpent not only provides for the Auction. In fact, the day will be open from 13 am to lunch (for bookings Mob 3316235723 or mail: angela.bindi @ tin.it ) .
At the Movies 15 will be screened Open Heart , 2013 Academy Award -nominated documentary that tells the story and the journey of 8 children Rwandans who were operated on at the Center for Emergency Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum in Sudan.
So at 16 the time of the auction and a final follow everything in music with three local groups, Mendrastici - Checkpoint Charlie and Motherboard Project.l Emergency Siena Group will also be present with a Bachino informative and Gadgets sale throughout the day .
