Creativity, in Naples, shines even in August. On Saturday 19, at 17, the Biennale of the artist's book returns to its fourth edition in the great rooms of Castel dell'Ovo (photo until September 4).
The exhibition, conceived and curated by Gennaro Ippolito and Giovanna Donnarumma, is promoted by Lineadarte Officina Creativa in collaboration with the City of Naples. A kermesse that sets itself as a source, enterprise workshop, medium, tool for civil and cultural expansion.
Occasion to clarify ideas about what the "artist book" really means. An object, a work, a reflection and even a concept. All these things put together offer a collective image of what can become. Conceptual works, three-dimensional paintings, sculptures to browse, products in single or very low print, photo albums, photozines, fanzines, posters, mail art. A mute matter that escapes every label.
The potential of the artist's book does not end in the past, but finds in the present and in the future infinite possibilities of representation and change of taste, style, figuration and communication. And this Biennale offers a great overview.
