Biografia
Born in 1984 in Rio de Janeiro, Diana began a career as a writer and poet and graduated in Advertising and Marketing from ESPM - Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing in 2006. Lately, her search attempts to reconcile written text with visual art transforming words on physical objects.
"The starting point is always a poem. Words are magic capsules that chained give very broad senses to feelings and behaviors that are not always easily catalogable. By transporting the written text to the real world, this capacity for communication widens, immersing the viewer into poetry, which gains body and presence. My quest is to lead people to these private places of self-immersion and empathic contemplation."
Her works depart from everyday objects, and others resigned to produce expositions of thoughts that flirt with the boundaries between the pictorial and the sculptural. Her influences range from writers to artists such as Antonin Artaud, Louise Bourgeois and the Brazilian author Ana Cristina Cesar. Diana is also publishing her first poetry book in 2017.
