Benjamin Forbes, a gifted visual artist and aspiring businessman who has demonstrated a strong sense of leadership and exceptional creative vision to strategically position global brands among competitors by implementing sound design solutions according to current market trends in the visual arts, entertainment and fashion industries.
Working as a fulltime artist has afforded Forbes the opportunity to explore and express a plethora of both abstract and concrete themes. He uses a variety of media, mostly pen and ink to render meticulous images resembling utopian worlds. His repertoire consists of graphic design, illustration and fine art. Inspired by artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher, Alex Grey, Kent Bellows and Hip- Hop culture; Forbes is affixed on contributing to the art world by creating art for a universal audience. Over the course of his 10 year career he has established himself as a promising young talent in the Bahamian art scene. As his work matures and enters the global art arena, the demand is increasing as collectors become familiar with the artist. While working with independent clothing company Eight and Nine Apparel, Forbes has shown a keen interest in fashion design, producing graphics for garments and designing denim products. Currently he has been working to develop a clothing company inspired by artistic ideals and events of modern society.
