When we look at art, whether it is a vessel or a sculpture, it is natural to try to give it context, and seek relation to the world surrounding us. There is something about organic nature of an object; the texture, the smell, and the way it moves that helps ground me. To me, paper, clay or paint are mediums that able to reflect my understanding of an initial concept of each project.
I am searching for beauty based in things incomplete and imperfect. The art I create strive to nature found in concept of raw and rough, asymmetry and imbalance, lack of sophistication and spontaneity. I hope this approach helps that to seem alive and somewhat mysterious. The goal of my art work is manifested in the forms flow. A basic desire in the process is to leave an object apparently naked, searching for a cozy place to be discovered or found. My devotion to finding different techniques and the way I approach life gives depth and integrity to my work. It is a wonder and fascinating relationship that I am seeking.
