My friends say that some of my paintings give kinetic impulse to the cogwheels of their mind and heart.
Most of this is unintentional. In fact I term my painting a sort of postcognitive neoexpressionism. This is an ironic formal way to say that my work sometimes springs out from semiautomatic gestures and its meaning (if it has any) emerges from darkness only after its completion.
Too many words just to say that painting for me is a personal surprise and, as Charles Mingus says, a "dangerous necessity".
