Biografia
Laura Miranda Watty
Mexico, City, March 1972.
At early age, Miranda starts art studies at Asunción Valdés Studio in witch she learned classical painting passing throughout the use of carbons, Comte pencil, Pastels, oil painting and watercolor.
Later on, she studies the degree of Foreign Affairs at the Iberoamericana University.
Miranda continue her artistic studies through different sculpture and painting courses at the Iberoamericana University and at the Studio of the sculptor and painter Francisco Miranda in witch she learned sculpture and new painting techniques.
Nowadays she works at Martha Ramírez de Bond’s Studio and also works creating wooden art pieces in a self-taught way.
In Miranda’s recent art studies, from the paintings of faces to the most abstract of her work, she searches for the most profound feelings of human being with its encounter with inequality, poorness, racism, insecurity, violence…leaving behind the premeditated censure and ignorance.
With her art pieces she pretends to express the rewards that human kind takes from nature.
