Biografia
Jan Ziegler was born in 1974 and grew up in Southern Germany. He completed his design studies and has been working for renowned international fashion and life style brands for the last 15 years. Aesthetic perception is central to his professional environment, which is characterised by rapidly changing design processes. In his endeavour to systemise visual perception, he depends on subconscious aesthetic decisions.
In his artwork, Jan Ziegler is exploring beyond well-practised design habits, using intuitive processes based on visual sensation. In his abstract paintings, landscapes and portrait studies he is exploring unconscious perceptions of visual attraction as well as the concept of intuitive beauty aside normative ideals.
Jan Zieglers artworks have found their way into private collections in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and the USA. He lives and works in Berlin / Germany.
