Biography

Georges Senga Assani (born in 1983 in Lubumbashi / DRC) photographer, discovered during the first edition of Picha Biennale Lubumbashi, by Marie-Françoise Plissart and Sammy Baloji. He joined in 2010 Picha art center, taking a lead role photographer accompany this dynamic, 2009, the realization of its "footprint" for a year presented at the second edition of the Biennale Lubumbashi with Simon Njami, Tarifa, Brussels, Nairobi. In 2011, he joined the Master Class, organized by the Goethe Institute Johannesburg in Bamako in 2012 in Lubumbashi in 2013 in Lagos.
In 2012, he made it third and fourth series pictures "life after death" and "kadogos" presented in 2013 at the Biennale de Lubumbashi in 2014 in Kampala biennial Addisphotofest, Muzee to Ostand.
In 2014, it boasts a PROHELVELTIA by fellowship for one month in Zimbabwe for the preparation of his photo project "TRANSIT"
In 2015, it boasts a first residence in Belgium, WIELS cultural center and present in a group exhibition at the African Odyssey FOREST BRASS cultural center.
That same year, he presented his work at the Bamako Biennale, where he graduated from the price Leo the African RAM, and is currently in residence in Stuttgart Akademi solitude.
