Biography

...Every little thing that has been passing through her eyes and soul is now in her art pieces.

Paintings, ceramic, and design items are strictly connected to nature representing Catia's attitude and passion.

The term Totem comes from the word “ototeman” used by the native Americans Ojibwa.
The Totem recalls collective identification and deep social rituals.
People identifies themselves in totems and gain from it the power to win their own challenges and battles.
The message coming out of it is totally a positive one.
Wood and vivid colors bring out love and hope for the future.

Catia's handmade totems are witnesses of our times. They try to go counterclockwise and refuge the standardization.
They are telling us that there is a possible world, different from the ordinary daily life craziness.

Totems are an explosion of colors and shapes always different one from the other, improbable and imperfect.
That's the reason why every single totem mirrors a moment, a feeling a thought.
They are realized recycling woods full of history and assembled in what could be called a contemporary mosaic.
