Biography
Gustavo Gusmão is an Assistant Director and Photographer currently based in São Paulo, Brasil. A native of the city, with a Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he has previously worked as an editor in films, television and advertising. As an assistant director, he has made films for directors at Hungry Man, Vetor Zero, Zola, Fulano Films, and many others company situated in Brazil. In his spare time, he likes to travel and photograph around the world. Past locations include China, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillipines. His photos are reminiscent of fine art paintings, invoking the emotional relationship between people and their environments.
