Cristina Bergoglio. Córdoba. Argentina. 1967.
Cristina Bergoglio. Degree in architecture by the National University of Córdoba, (Argentina). Her artistic and literary vision has been developed since a very early age. Along with her studies in architecture, she started to show her own designs of architectonic spaces in several galleries of her hometown. Highly interested by the mystic of this spaces in the works of Mexican architects Luis Barragán and his follower Ricardo Legorreta, she sends her projects, drawings and texts to the last of them who suggests Cristina to devote herself to paint and write in Europe. In Mexico she also meets the poet Jaime Sabines and the Guatemalan writer Augusto Monterroso. Following the suggestions of these artists, back to Argentina, she decides to develop her career in Madrid (Spain). As a result of her studies in architecture, her Argentinean origins and her love for dance, there she starts her research on the representation urban spaces and tango. In Madrid she meets several painters and writers, such Francisco Molina Montero, who influences deeply in her work. She also studies an the Prado Workshop of Madrid, becoming later teacher of this prestigious institution until 2007. IN literature, she has worked on poetic prose, supported intellectually by the writer Francisco Umbral. Nowadays she lives and works in Madrid, where she keeps on exploring on urban landscapes. Lately her paintings are oriented to explore inner architecture spaces of grate architects. Actually , she writes articules about body-mind conexion based on the quantum fisic.
