Biography
I've been waiting 25 years to find out that photography was a great part of my life.
It is my space and time mirror, my secret love and proud, and in the same time something something to be worried about.
Catching a moment is like keeping a bit of past and throwing it in the future. Whoever will collect it, doesn't matter.
History is a portion of truth and so photography. We don't know about the other moments or places around it.
And often we don't know anything about the photographer, who is a technician or a random player or an artist able to show his will through other people's perception.
That's my idea of photography and that's me, through the images I throw in the future, day by day.
My academic background is economic (University of Lecce, Italy), enriched by Human Geography (PhD at the University of Bari, Italy) and Urban and Regional Planning (Faculty of Architecture at the University of Sheffield).
My interest in Photography is to explore contemporary world by a detailed and immediate process of choice of some portions of space that might result significant to the observer. I care about the sense of place, individual/collective memories and the relation between nature and culture.
I am a contributor for Getty Images since 2009.
