Biography

Fidia born as a graphic Designer, Illustrator and photographer and since the 1995 he has collaborated with importand brands in Fashion area and company business like: Lamborghini, Roberto Botticelli, Fornarina, and others.
After his 30 years old’s birthday, Fidia has been “kidnapped” from the world of contemporary art: he found it as the main way to comunicate his feelings to the ambient where he was living in.
He studied in the Accademy of Art (Accademia di Belle Arti) in Florence but only 5 years later he started to move with contemporary art, making a deep dialougue with the society, trying to give a voice to his personal fears. In this way, Fidia found the right path to trasform thoughts in somethings else indipendent from him.
Fidia’s world is a kind of surrealistic society made of bizzare iconic characters, showed in different context and light up with a different “floodlight”. Playing with this pop-ular language, and kidding with the (sometimes) frightful actuality, he try to give a different meaning to what is happening around us.
On line of the figure of his characters, he is used to label ironically himself as a “Amateur Super Heroe”: but he “lost the user guide!”
He has been part of various collective and solo exhibition in Italy and around the world. He won the audience award in 2008 at Arte LAguna Prize.
At the same time, Fidia has worked as Art and Communication Teacher in Secondary schools and University.
