Biography

My research as an artist springs from an observation of the world of nature, but then crosses the threshold of the visible and penetrates a world that is invisible to the naked eye: that of microscopic and microbiologic forms.

This starting point allows me to observe how living matter goes through constant mutations and transformations.

By toying with my imagination, I am then able to crumble any known shape and create new life forms.

This leads to the creation of bizarre vegetable forms and fanciful botanic species, which materialise by calling into being a boundless “ideal garden”, which in this way conveys the idea of the existence of new habitats, springing from the break-up of every static appearance.

Irony, transparencies and densities, playful colour matching and sinuous shapes distinguish my work, which becomes an eccentric interpreter of the vitality contained in every particle of visible, invisible, real and imagined space.
