Biography
I paint through an emotive process. This process is reflective of the moments and memories experienced. A moment in time and space where all that is experienced is then deconstructed into colour, light, depth and the surface itself.
A process that involves the repetitive actions of multiple layering, erasing, and reapplying of oil and beeswax in an attempt to create a sense of another space – other spaces. – a space between something and nothing, the absent and present - a journey between the real and the imaginary.
A process where multiple dialogues is possible and one that allows the painting to exist within its own poetics.
