Biography
Looking for new techniques and inspirations to show that time which goes by deforms, destroys and damages all things is itself a messenger of beauty; my needs went beyond the canvas, beyond the colour.
I am interested in metal as a living support; I am interested in its structure, its colours, its evolution throughout the ages.
I wanted to understand its “flourishing cycle” (oxidation) from its start to its blooming, so much so that I have created it myself for my own works and transformed this natural reaction which eats into everything into the hub of one’s life’s positive loads, the victory of art on the flowing by of time.
I lead it, I tame it, I put it on my steel plates in order to get a wide and varied range of colours, full of subtle nuances. Docile and capricious at once, nature has become my ally in creation.
Time weaves things and I use time to weave my works. I make this time, take it apart and this time, when taken apart, often surprises me and puts me under a spell.
